PIANGI as DON JUAN

"....when it's late and modesty starts to mellow with the wine..."

Piangi wears an elaborate red Cavalier costume as Don Juan, as an echo of the "Red Death" outfit. It consists of an oversized doublet with paned sleeves, heavily gold ornamented at the chest and with tabs in the waistline. The breeches are also paned, and quite short, enlonging the legs and emphasizing the "ballon effect" of the costume (moreso in actual stage costumes than in the costume design). He also wears very high boots and red tights.

The costume design also suggests a cloak, a sword and a feathered hat, but this is mostly used as stage props in the "Don Juan" scene, being handed over to Passarino, rather than being worn by Don Juan.
