THE GOLDFISH

This costume is used by one of the female dancers, and is supposed to illude a fish. The metallic, corseted bodice is heavily decorated with gold and pearls, and with fringes in front and over the shoulders. The waist is defined by a square belt, and underneath there's a "skirt" consists of several colourful tabs, layered, and ending in long, golden strips of fabric. In the back there's usually a tail. She also wear black lace boots, golden, pink or red tights, and a fish shaped hat; the latter has long "hair" in the back, and large fish eyes on top. Most of all the outfit reminds of the fish Carassius auratus - a goldfish.

Comment from costume sketch: Twisted spikes to held out skirt. (...) Gold/caramel glitter tights..
