THE "BONBON" GIRL

This costume is often referred to as the "bonbon" girl, not quite sure why. Maybe she looks like a bonbon?

The outift consists of a multi-striped corseted bodice with decorations going out over the shoulders and to the back like a "bertha" neckline. There are also multi-stringed straps, being more decorative than constructive, though not all versions have these. The skirt is multi coloured and shaped into defined loops trimmed with golden ponpons or beads. This arrangement is repeated in the headwear and the bertha neckline. There also belongs multi-striped tights in various colours for the costume, plus high-heeled boots and a classical halfmask.
